Your files stay with you.

Setly processes documents in your browser. PDF contents, document passwords, signatures and conversion results are not uploaded to a Setly processing server.

What happens to your documents?

Files are held in the page’s memory while you work. Download your results before closing or refreshing the page. Setly does not provide document storage or recovery. Downloads are saved wherever your browser normally saves files.

What is saved on this device?

If you save a workflow, its name, steps and settings are saved in this browser’s local storage. Document contents and passwords are not included. You can remove saved workflows from the Workflows page. Browser caches may retain the PDF and OCR engine assets.

Network requests

Your browser downloads the website, fonts and processing engines from the hosting service. The hosting service may receive ordinary connection information such as your IP address and requested pages. This release does not include advertising trackers or an analytics service.

Editing and signatures

Whiteout and cropping change what is visible; they do not securely erase the underlying content. Use a dedicated redaction tool for sensitive information. Setly signatures are visual marks, without certificate signing or an audit trail.

Review your results

Conversions and OCR can lose formatting or misread characters. Check downloaded documents before sharing them. Keep a copy of your original file.
